P&C meetings
Ermington Public School P&C meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month (during school terms) in the school library at 7.00pm (unless otherwise stated). The school Principal and some executive staff members attend.
Meetings cover issues and reports that affect the activities we run eg canteen, uniform shop, fetes, movie nights and other events. We also vote on how to allocate funds to the school for resources and special projects. At each meeting the Principal provides a report, which is a great way to stay informed and provide useful feedback about happenings at school.
Anyone can attend these meetings, and everyone is encouraged to. If you would like to share your thoughts or raise any issues this is the place.
For an annual joining fee of 50 cents you will also have a vote in any decisions passed.
How can I get an item on the meeting agenda?
Any financial member of the P&C can request an agenda item to be added to a meeting. A P&C member who would like to request an agenda item should contact the P&C President or Secretary no later than seven (7) days prior to the next scheduled meeting, so that the item can be listed. It is expected that the person requesting the item will normally attend the meeting to speak to that item.
How can I make a suggestion to the P&C?
A suggestion to do something (whether involving spending money or not) should be submitted in writing to the P&C President or Secretary. Having an initial discussion with an Executive Officer is likely to be helpful.
Can I just come and watch a meeting?
Yes. You are welcome to come and observe any meeting. There is no pressure to speak, but also lots of opportunity if you want to!
