Our extra-curricular highlights
Choir
Students express creativity and collaboration through dance and choir, performing at school and community events while developing rhythm, confidence, and stage presence.
Band
Students extend their musical talents through our school band program, developing teamwork, discipline, and performance skills while representing Ermington at local and regional events.
Strings
The strings program allows students to explore their musical potential, develop technical skill, and perform as part of an ensemble in school and local performances.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Leadership conferences
Student leaders have the opportunity to attend leadership conferences, where they develop confidence, communication, and a strong sense of responsibility within and beyond our school.
Dance
Students express creativity and collaboration through dance and choir, performing at school and community events while developing rhythm, confidence, and stage presence.
Aerobics
Our aerobics teams build fitness, confidence, and school spirit through choreographed routines and competitions, showcasing dedication and teamwork.
Wallumai Warriors Cultural Connection group
Students engage in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural learning through our Wallumai Warriors groups. They build knowledge, pride, and connection to Country through storytelling, art, dance, and language.
Robotics club
Students in our Robotics Club learn coding, engineering, and problem-solving as they design, build, and program robots for fun challenges and competitions.
NSWJCL and MLA Chess competitions
Our chess teams represent Ermington in the NSW Junior Chess League competition, developing strategic thinking, focus, and sportsmanship.
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
