On, Wednesday 22nd August, Ermington Public School celebrated Book Week with our annual Book Week Character Parade. This years celebrations were extra special as it is also The National Year of Reading. Students turned out in a range of wonderful costumes celebrating this year's book week theme, 'Champions Read'. Zane and Anjally, our MC's for the parade did a wonderful job and there were a few teachers parading in costume too..... even Mr Hoppitt!
Students were also lucky enough to attend a performance by Gennie Nevinson, in our new hall, where they learned about the power of story.
It was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents and friends at the parade this year and thank you to the P&C for providing morning tea as guests stayed for recess with the students.
